Thursday Thoughts ~~ Constants

In physics there are a lot of constants.  There’s Newton’s Universal Gravitational Constant, G.  There’s C, the speed of light.  There’s e, the elementary charge.  There are a lot of them.  They are sometimes called invarients.

Here are some that are of interest, or importance to those of us who ride bikes.

It will rain.

The likelihood of rain is directly proportionate to the need for a ride.

The sun will come out.

The wind will blow.

There is no such thing as a tail wind.

We all ride in the same weather.

All roads are uphill mostly.

Do it for the joy of it.

Consistency counts for more than talent.

It’s not possible to be consistent part of the time.

Every ride, no matter how short or how routine, is an opportunity to learn and experience.

There are only two races that count; Human, and Life.  The big news?  We’re all in both of them.
